The Insanity Continues

One day last week the check engine light came on which is not a big deal because it happens from time to time. I decided to take it in this Friday to get it tuned. Then today the "O/D OFF" light came on. It also isn't shifting properly. It'll shift just fine until I get to 40mph and then it doesn't feel like it shifts at all and once I'm at 45mph if I take my foot off the accelerator it'll slow way down, just the sound of the engine the car doesn't actually slow down.

I'm not comfortable driving it like this so I called my parents about it. Neither one of them is willing to work with my work schedule, I either go to work super early and sit outside or I get up super early to take my mother to her job and then she sit and wait for me to get off.

My mother suggested I take the bus. How many times do I have to tell her that the nearest bus stop is a two mile walk away?

So I'm going to rent myself a car, I just hope I can afford all this (I transferred over the last $1000 from my savings and I get paid this week). Hopefully the issue with the car isn't too expensive.

But, yeah, I'm glad this didn't happen when I was unemployed.

ETA: I have to go to the frelling airport to get the frelling rental car. Argh! I hate my car!
