Jun. 30th, 2025 08:53 amPlans for the weekend:
Clean the kitchen and living room (since I did laundry last week instead), do the dishes (still two separate chores), work on my fic, meal prep for the coming week
What got done:
Clean the kitchen (sort of, explanation down below), the dishes (mostly, still have to put them away), wrote some on my fic (this thing will never be finished!), meal prepped for the coming week
So, my plan is always to clean Friday and Saturday nights. But this week I got sick starting around mid morning Friday and lasting until the early morning hours of Saturday. I figured that I could do everything other than the vacuuming (I need to pull furniture away from the walls and I so did not have the energy points for that). But I didn't.
I then told myself that I would clean the kitchen. And I did. Sort of. I wiped down the sink and the counter surrounding the sink and then realized as I was getting ready for bed, that I forgot to do the stove side of the kitchen. *face palm*
When I was at the store last week, I bought some steak strips for crock pot fajitas and two pounds of ground beef. When I went to put the steak strips in the fridge to thaw, I noticed that I only got one pound and the recipe calls for two pounds so I thawed the ground beef instead. I have prepped several tacos and now just need to make some rice to use up the last of the ground beef.
I had every intention of walking this morning but I was awakened by a massive cramp in my right ankle around midnight. The pain was so bad, I thought I was going to throw up. I had difficulty falling back to sleep and ended up sleeping through my alarm.
My birthday is Saturday and every year I get myself something. This year I got two window mounted cameras. I have one on the living room window (there are a lot of arguments that happen out of range of my Ring camera) and the other on my bedroom window so I can keep an eye on my car.
The white SUV to the far right of the picture is my car. The tree has been dead for the entire two years I have lived here. A month or so ago, one of the branches fell and just barely scraped my window. I really wish management would have the tree removed but at least they finally trimmed it so you don't get hit by branches when you walk past it.
